For those coming to Lemens Lodge in 2024, - Welcome!
Lots has changed, and is still changing.. we are making great progress with our addition..
and also have made many improvements to the main lodge...
*The exterior is a bit of chaos- still much to do.. so you may encounter occasional construction workers & traffic and day time noises..
Let us know as issues arise- and we will try to mitigate any issues..
* Parking will be varied , but you can unload & load close to the doors..
** The inside we think is vastly improved... look around let us know what you think
* 2nd floor - wood floors are all refinished.. please lift - don't drag anything.
*Windows have new trim, half windows are new,
*Bedroom and furniture remodeled,
*NW bedroom expanded by 5 ft and a closet.
*Daybed area - de cluttered..

***The lake- is still the same,

Construction of our addition has begun and should be done before Fishing Season in May. It will include 2 car attached garage, and additional first floor Living area for the owners. Thus requiring less moving for rentals. A few changes on second floor as well. Stay Tunned

Only one 3" branch fell during the storm, then a bit later this beautiful view... our pot of gold at end of the rainbow ( actually we are using up the gold with Renevations- stay tuned)

Well, finally our Trip to Europe from 2020 covid , today!
Final clean house, gather paperwork.

I used to say at Modine my job, was "to break things"
This trip, May be payback...

Load up Prius, it started.backed up... then (1)it broke, it died.. used Ford to Jump it, parked Prius.
9:58 moved luggage to Ford
10:09. Drive to self park at Americinn, near MSP(8 miles), $6.00/day. Follow shuttle 4 blocks to parking lot, leave car.. three stops.. Arrive at MSP airport @ 1:40. Walk with luggage up a floor, over roads, down floor, over to Delta.
Check in machine, scanner broke(2) won't read my Passport, ML ok, get assistance , nope, switch machines!! Jackpot! Checked in & baggage and boarding passes. Not very busy, 5 people in line to check baggage.
Easy thru security.
Dinner at zona cantina . Good food, enchilada plate and burrito
1.5 beers, walk to boarding area , wait an hour,
I notice Flights to South Dakoda are canceled, oh my... but we're going NE, so boarding on time,
New and improved check, Using the new "Skynet" facial recognition system based on passport photo..? It showed pic and We both beeped green.
Had to de-ice wings, so about 15 min delay
No free Wi-Fi, boo.
Entertainment Sys ok, movies. & sleep.
First meal chicken on spinach veggie and rice, good spices.
Breakfast - egg and cheese Mc muffin - ok and OJ or coffee.
Sun rising outside 1 hour to land.
It's tomorrow Wed AM... we made it.

Yes, we removed part of wall, a few inches wider stairs, including upper stairs ..easier slope.. and pull out drawers.. new drywall and paint job.

Update for 2021 season: fish house new cement floor and brick base, new steel siding, new counter and sink, new facucet with sprayer..
Please keep it clean, for the next users.

Mini repair day: late Nov. more for my notes, then news.. but little things can add up.. so let us know if you notice something.
cleaning drains, aligning doors, new grill gas line, new TP holder installed(the last one disappeared).

Technology encroaches the great Wisconsin outdoors... a gift for me to play with from our kids.... a Nest thermostat . Just rotate the outer shell to adjust between 55 and 76. Be comfy, In winter please set back to 59 when you leave to save us all energy. Thanks.

Upgrades.. continue in 2018...so more changes for good and for confusing.. we now have over 100 Cable channels to look for something good to watch..good luck.
