Freda B… at home in Sausalito awaiting her masts. The USCG mandates every 15 years the removal and replacement of all standing rigging for inspected sailboats. Our last go at this was 2011. Thanks to Captain Paul and a few of the crew we are getting it done and will be back in action Early Spring 2025. Until then, we are wishing everyone a warm and happy holiday season!

Schooner Freda B made her way to the Farallon Island with gear and scientists aboard for the annual Farallon Patrol Run for Point Blue. The crew and vessel donate a day of their time to support their conservation mission. These missions began in the 1970’s with just a few vessels (including beloved CIMBA of Sausalito,when under care of Charlie Merrill). Captain Paul Dines continues to honor his mentor’s legacy and support by sending out the Freda B annually. Many thanks to the crew for an excellent day of sailing.

Farallon Patrol- Schooner Freda B is provisioned and ready to set sail for her annual volunteer run to the Farallon Islands in the morning. The vessel and crew volunteer their time to support Point Blue and their mission by taking gear and Scientists to and from the islands.
We look forward to this unique and exciting opportunity every year.

Freda B had a visit from our friends at Mendocino Tea Company for tonight’s Harvest Moon Sail. The moon was shy, but the sunset was raging. Nothing beats a hot cup of tea on the central San Francisco Bay!
