A Message from Sausalito Crab Festival Crew:

Due to the forecasted heavy rain and strong winds, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the inaugural Sausalito Crab Festival.

This event has generated an incredible amount of excitement, with over 1,200 RSVPs, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you. Everyone on this list will receive an email next week once the new date is confirmed, along with a link to reserve tickets before they are released to the public.

In the meantime, if you’re still craving crab, Fish Restaurant will be selling live and cooked crab this weekend. To place an order, please email [email protected] so they can have it ready for you.

For those who pre-ordered t-shirts, you can pick them up at the rescheduled Crab Festival or arrange pickup at Clipper Yacht Harbor by emailing [email protected].

Who knew your delicious Napa Valley Burger in Sausalito came with a history!

Napa Valley Burger Co. is located in the first brick building ever built in town.

Fiedler’s General Store was built in 1885 by Fred Fiedler. It operated for 50 years until becoming Glen Five and Ten in the 1940s.

Later it became the Sweete Shoppe then changed names to Winship Restaurant. Since the 1960s, Winship served iconic breakfasts and popular lunches. ⛵️

In 2012, Napa Valley Burger Co. took over the space. You can still find the original bricks of the Fiedler General Store and even nautical-themed glass windows from Winship while enjoying the best burger in town. 🍔

We’re proud of where we started and excited to continue the tradition of bringing joy to people who visit our special little town! 🎉

Woohoo! We are back up and running! This picture seemed like a good time to also plug an upcoming event at Clipper Yacht Harbor, the very first CrabFest. This event is being put on by the Sausalito Sustainable Waterfront Association with the goal of lending support to our local crab fishermen who are facing economic and environmental challenges. There will be live music, food, and fresh cooked crab from our local fleet to eat here or take home. Crab season is back, and the Sausalito Sustainable Waterfront Association is excited to announce the inaugural Sausalito Crab Festival! This one-day event celebrates Sausalito’s fishing fleet with fresh seafood, live music, boat displays, and a chance to connect with the community.

📅 When: Saturday, Feb. 1, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
📍 Where: Fish Restaurant at Clipper Yacht Harbor

“California’s entire fishing fleet has faced devastation due to delayed season openings and early closures, continuously challenging the survival of the fishermen who risk their lives every day to bring food to our tables,” said Kenny Belove, Co-owner of Fish Restaurant. “Let’s embrace the start of the season, support our local fishermen, and celebrate.”
