If you're staying at one of our properties, you're in for a treat with the chance to experience the beauty of nature up close — including the possibility of spotting a black bear! Black bears are common in this area, and they roam the lush forests and mountain valleys surrounding our cabin. These incredible creatures are often shy and will typically avoid human contact, so it's a rare and special sight to catch a glimpse of one. While enjoying the peace and serenity of the cabin, keep an eye out for these majestic animals. Remember to never approach or feed them, and always keep a safe distance. If you spot one, take a moment to appreciate their beauty from afar, and know you're witnessing a true part of the wild beauty of the Georgia mountains. All of our properties have power back on and there was no damage done to any of our properties from the storm and we are so very thankful for that. Unfortunately, others were not so fortunate.. Our hearts and prayers are with all in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, & South Carolina who have experienced loss during the storm.
