The Drouillard-Maupas House from 1799 originally the plantation house for Andre Drouillard, a refugee of the Haitian Revolution. The Drouillard House is the oldest building in the Thomas Square historic district and predates the street grid surrounding it. Happy Palm Sunday from Savannah! The oldest house in Savannah, GA is currently under construction! I know that sounds odd but part of the Hills-Galloway House at Printmakers Inn dates from the 1690s and part of it from the 1700s. Like many New Englanders, it has recently made a move to the south.

After the war, he graduated from University of Georgia at age 20 and became known as a church architect. As well as this house for Mary Hammond from 1884, he designed several other homes near Forsyth Park. When he died in 1918, he had siblings living in Toronto, New York, Pittsburgh, and Athens, GA.
