Heads up Tiger Fans! HCHS Homecoming Parade route this FRIDAY.

Updated Homecoming Parade Route 2024
The decision has been made to amend the parade route to provide the safest and most secure route possible for our students. Below is the updated parade route.

1. Beginning on Sevier Street the parade will turn left on Rex Adkisson Way.
2. Right onto Stadium Drive
3. Left onto Sharon Street
4. We will travel across Lacefield Drive passing by Hardin County Middle School and Parris South.
5. Left onto Pickwick Road
6. Left onto Main Street
7. We will circle the cannon ball monument and travel back on Main Street
8. Right onto Pickwick Road all the way back to Hardin County High School.

* We will not turn right onto Water Street and travel past First Baptist Church, City Hall, or Hardees.
** We will not turn left onto Water Street off Main Street at the bridge to return to Hardin County High School.

The Hardin County Agricultural Fair - Savannah, TN kicks off today! We wanted to give our hometown heroes an extra special thank you with post cards from YOU! While you’re in between rides, stop by the Hardin County Tourism booth and write a hometown hero a little thank you note. Deliver it yourself or place it the mailbox and we will deliver them! Stay tuned for delivery updates!

TRAFFIC ALERT!

SPD will be assisting with the RiverFest Concert downtown beginning this afternoon. Today at 2 pm, Main Street will be closed from the West Main intersection (cannonballs) to Adams Street. The closed area will slowly expand as crews set up staging, fencing, and prepare for the concert. Beginning at 8 pm, Main Street will be closed form Guinn Street to the bridge with all traffic diverted to Water Street. All roadways will reopen after the stage and event equipment is removed, which is believed to be sometime in the early morning hours of Sunday.

Please expect delays and heavy congestion at times in these areas and consider alternate routes if possible.

Friday nights events will move from Tennessee Street Park to The Historic Savannah Theater located at 75 Court Street, Savannah, TN 38372! Doors will open at 6pm and Music will start at 7pm! 🎵🎤🎸
Concessions and alcohol sales will still be available. Parking is available if you follow the Water Street detour. We hope to see you safe and dry this coming Friday night 9/13!

What a year for Hardin County tourism! 🎉Tourism brought in a record $47.5 million in visitor spending in 2023, a 5.04% increase from last year! This boost helped support 335 local jobs and generated over $4.6 million in state and local taxes. If you're curious, that's the equivalent of saving $425 per household in taxes.

Would you like to meet six people who experienced the battle of Shiloh and its aftermath? Join us on Saturday, September 21, for "Meet the Past: A Living History Bus Tour of Shiloh."

We will have four opportunities for you to board a bus and ride to historic areas of the battlefield. Living historians will bring to life the stories of six participants of the bloody battle and what they saw.
