Destinations with Donica! Over 30 years travel planning for groups and individuals. I bought the smallest camera I could find and pulled it out when I felt no one was watching.

When I started traveling a few years ago, ok- many, many years ago, I never wanted people to know I was a “tourist”. My best friend, Susie and I traveled to various places- always using the local transportation and staying in

family-owned hotels... We would talk to the hotel front-desk people for advice on local restaurants and non-tourist sights. We got lost a lot. The experience - unforgettable. As a result of the rise in popularity of independent and solo travel, I have found myself planning more vacations for those like minded travelers as myself... custom-designed and small groups and individuals who want to choose their destinations and plan their own itineraries. The traveling is still independent, but the planning benefits from a professional with expertise and inside knowledge is significant to a smooth, hassle free trip... And of course, it saves you time searching for all the information you need on your own. I can help you plan custom sightseeing with a private tour guide, arrange a private cooking class or a wine tasting tour and even hook you up with knowledgeable local representatives. Being a responsible and conscious traveler involves a genuine appreciation and respect for the destination’s local culture.

Be sensitive to the communities’ traditions and be mindful when visiting heritage sites, make sure to follow any dress codes or rules. Always seek permission if you are to take pictures of people and consider the local’s perception of your activities as a visitor.

Tour companies are now planning visits to Naxos for next year...please no large groups. Respect the people of Naxos and their beautiful island. 🙄
