Day 7 (Sep 3): This was our last day. 😔
We had to check out by 11:00 so we packed up everything and had bell services hold our luggage. We took the Toy Story bus to Disney Springs! We walked all around Disney Springs. Shopped at World of Disney, stopped in to check out the amazing cakes at Amorette’s Patisserie, also went to Disney’s Days of Christmas to look at all of the ornaments, and went into the Lego Store. This day was so hot!! We had lunch at Chicken Guy! and enjoyed the air conditioning. We went back to Polynesian and hung out near Capt Cook’s. Then we took the Magical Express back to Orlando International Airport.
What a great trip!

Day 6 (Sep 2): We went back to Hollywood Studios! Watched Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage. At exactly 1:00, I got us another boarding group for Rise of the Resistance! We had lunch at The Hollywood Brown Derby. I got their famous cobb salad. Delicious!
While Jim went on Star Tours (which I avoided because 🤢), I watched the Mickey and Friends Motorcade. Loved it!
We really enjoyed our day walking around and going on everything at the park!
Returned to Polynesian and watched Happily Ever After and the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach again!

Day 5 (Sep 1): It rained this morning so we hung out in our room and then headed to Epcot later. (Walked to TTC then took monorail). We did most of the rides (except Mission Space 🤢) and got more food from the festival. Favorites were the griddled cheese from Greece, the Warm Raclette Swiss cheese from the Alps, and baked lobster dip from Lobster Landing. Jim had crispy chicken on a sriracha glazed doughnut from the Donut Box! 😳

We watched the Voices of Liberty at the America Gardens Theater. Incredible! The talent of those singers is so amazing! (See videos)
We went back to the Polynesian and watched Happily Ever After from the beach.

Day 4 (Aug 31): We had breakfast along with a delicious Bloody Mary at Kona Cafe. Today was a “hang out at the pool” day. It was really hot and the pool was so refreshing! We also went down the pool slide. It was so fun!
Then we went to After Hours Boo Bash (the 2021 Halloween party “replacement”) at Magic Kingdom. The wait times were so low, we rode everything multiple times! We also got to see all of the Halloween specific cavalcades. The Boo Bash includes unlimited water and soda along with popcorn and ice cream. We also went trick or treating at a few of the locations and got tons of candy! I was so excited to see Happily Ever After but that night there were only projections on the castle, no fireworks. I was bummed but it was still great to be there. (See videos at end of post). We didn’t leave until about 1:00 am. So tired but so fun!

Day 3 (Aug 30): We took a few pictures of the resort then walked over to the TTC to take the ferry boat over to Magic Kingdom. (The monorail station at the Polynesian was under construction while we were there). What a view coming up to Magic Kingdom from Seven Seas Lagoon!
Had lunch at The Plaza Restaurant.
We rode so many rides, watched the cavalcades, and just took in the atmosphere of the park! We went back to our room to rest and enjoy the view from our balcony, and then headed over to ‘Ohana for dinner. Yum! We watched the Happily Ever After fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant from ‘Ohana.
It was such a great day!

Day 2 (Aug 29): We took the bus from the Polynesian to Animal Kingdom. Saw all of the flotillas come down the river as we were enjoying awesome drinks and food at Nomad Lounge! Had an amazing experience on Kilimanjaro Safaris. 🦒 🐆🦩 🐘 🦏 It’s one of the best rides at Animal Kingdom. (Check out the videos at the end of the post).

The Feathered Friends in Flight bird show is a must-do! Rode every ride except Kali River Rapids because we didn’t want to get soaked! Even did Flight of Passage twice! Then we headed over by bus to the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. We sampled so many delicious dishes from some of the booths there. Took the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center then walked over to our room since the Polynesian resort is right next to the TTC!

Tomorrow is Magic Kingdom!

We went to Walt Disney World at the end of August and had the best time!

Day 1 (Aug 28): Arrival day (6:00 am flight ✈️ was so early 🥱💤 but great because we were on Magical Express by 9:00 and driving through Disney World gates by 9:40!) 👏
We stayed in a newly remodeled room at Polynesian Village Resort with a Moana theme. So cute! 🌴

Went to Hollywood Studios and had so much fun! We love this park!! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for blue milk, Kat Saka’s Kettle popcorn, and lunch at Docking Bay 7. And of course riding Millennium Falcon and Rise of the Resistance! We also had some great drinks at Oga’s Cantina. (There is a video of Jim’s drink at the end of the post).

I really enjoyed the cavalcades! We got to ride everything in the park and some of our favorites multiple times!! Always love Frozen sing along and the Beauty and the Beast show. What an awesome first day!
