Let’s talk about the airplane cardigan. I am a huge fan. And, yes, this picture was taken because I was being made fun of for wearing it. But, I highly recommend the airplane cardigan!

Also called the “in-flight cardigan”, it was introduced by the airlines in the early 2000s to enhance passenger experience and comfort, especially for long haul flights.

The soft, breathable cardigan offers a stylish and practical alternative, extra layer without wearing a bulky jacket or using a blanket. It helps passengers feel more at home, which promotes relaxation and better sleep during long flights.

I am still in awe of how it went from a simple sketch on a piece of graph paper to a beautifully fitted dress in a day.

Dinner at Noir in Saigon, Vietnam is quite the dining experience.

It is an 11 course dining experience… in complete darkness. The serving staff is visually impaired. The menu remains a mystery and is revealed after your meal.

It is a culinary journey that takes away sight and has you rely on smell, touch, taste, and hearing, which make the flavors, textures, and aromas more intense.

I did my best tonight, but I didn’t make it to dessert at Noir. So, that’s when I got to dine at Blanc, the sister company to Noir. Blanc is dining with light, served by deaf and hearing-impaired staff.

What an experience! I am humbled and grateful to have all of my five senses and have great appreciation and admiration of the staff at Noir and Blanc. 💕

I have a new favorite fruit: the jackfruit! I tried it for the first time today when I visited the island of Cai Lay, Vietnam.

I also had fresh guava, mango, pineapple, and milk fruit. I love my mangoes, but move over mangoes, jackfruit is delicious! 😋

Jackfruit is a tropical fruit native to South and Southeast Asia. It is the largest tree-borne fruit in the world. Some jackfruit can grow up to 80 pounds!

I will be on the search for jackfruit (maybe Sprouts?) when I return to Arizona.

I had this pink dress made while I was in Hoi An, Vietnam. 💕

On my first visit to the tailor in Hoi An, I showed her my desired dress: the style, material, and color. She took my measurements and made a quick sketch of the dress.

On my second visit, I had my first fitting where I tried on the dress and took a selfie. The tailor used some pins to make some adjustments and asked me to come back later that day.

On my third visit, she used just a couple of pins to perfect the fit. I took a picture in the dressing room before it was completed. The tailor told me that she would finish my dress and send it to my hotel in Hoi An that night.

My dress arrived that night before 9pm. I think it turned out fabulous! 💕

I visited Tay An Pagoda in Chau Doc, Vietnam. It is a Buddhist Temple located the foot of Sam Mountain, known for its unique blend of Vietnamese and Indian architectural styles.

At the entrance, there are two elephants: a black one and a white one. I liked the white elephant as it symbolizes peace and protects from negative energies.

I learned that most young boys in Cambodia become Novice Monks as part of the cultural and religious tradition. It also allows them the opportunity for a free education.

In Phnom Hanchey, Cambodia, I met this 15 year old Novice Monk. He shared with me a little about his life in the Monastery. I ask him what his favorite snack is. He told me that he likes Coke and pickled guava.

The Gala Dinner at Prasat Kraven Temple was absolutely spectacular! Prasat Kravan is a small 10th-century Hindu temple in Angkor Archaeological Park in Cambodia.

And, the Gala Dinner was extra special for me because I got to enjoy it with my best friend of nearly 34 years and her family. ❤️ (They were also my very first clients in 2019 when I started my travel business.)

The Cambodian Landmine Museum was pretty eye-opening today. Located in Siem Reap, the museum was founded by Aki Ra, a former child soldier who has dedicated his life to clearing land mines and educating people about their dangers.

The museum has deactivated land mines, unexploded ordnance (UXO), and other remnants of Cambodia’s wartime past.

The impact of Cambodia’s land mines on civilians continues to be devastating as there is an estimated 1700 square kilometers that remains contaminated with land mines and unexploded ordnances.

Just today, February 23, 2025, the AP reported the deaths of 2 toddlers in Siem Reap province’s Svay Leu district from an UXO.

The devastation is real.

I learned that the Vietnamese Zodiac is similar to the Chinese Zodiac. The Vietnamese Zodiac has two different animals: the buffalo (ox in Chinese) and the cat (rabbit in Chinese).

I played Ballybunion a few months ago in August. I had heard of The Old Course, but I didn’t know how majestic playing it would be. One of my favorite things to do on a Celebrity cruise is Silent Disco. 🪩 Silent disco is a dance party where everyone gets headphones to listen to music. You can pick different stations (red, green, or blue), so you could be listening to a completely different song than your friends. The different music is picked by different DJs. For anyone without headphones, you only see people dancing and hear them singing without the actual music. And, I will spare you the songs where most of us cannot actually carry a tune.
