Loreto is a city on Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula, on the gulf of California. It’s colonial buildings include the Mision de Nurstra Señora de Loreto, a 17th century church. Off the coast, the islands and waters of Bahia de Loreto National Park are home to dolphins, whales and pelicans. The city is backed by the Sierra de la Giganta mountain range, where the trails lead to prehistoric cave paintings.

Situated in the middle of Baja California Sur on the eastern coast, Loreto is mainly known for being one of the first Spanish colonial settlements of New Spain, founded in 1697 by Jesuit Missionaries, and for the wealth of sea life along its coast, in the sea of Cortez.

So much so that it is often called the “Aquarium of the World,” offering also one of the premier diving sites on the planet.

Both its cultural heritage and the deep connection with wildlife and nature that you can experience in Loreto, make it one fascinating destination to put on the map and, if possible, to spend some time and explore.

Lost a beautiful soul this week, my memere from France. Couldn’t even say a few words or comment because of my social media being hacked. My grandmother “Memere” was very special to me and I will forever miss her.

Cabo San Lucas Mexico. Just a 1 1/2 hour flight from Phoenix. We did have an unexpected Hurricane Genevieve for 24 hours but we still thoroughly enjoyed our time and hotel staff was amazing at handling moving us to upper floors to avoid flooding of our swim up suite. Masks only need to be worn walking into restaurants and everything sanitized and hand sanitizer stations everywhere. Immigration was super easy. Some resorts are spraying you front and back with sanitizer and your temperature is taken. Book your travel now and make payments.
