This weekend will be our last...

We'll be open Friday and Saturday 12-8pm and closed Sunday - stop by before we shut it down! We'll be closed for a couple weeks but we'll be back soon! We plan on re-opening sometime in late November, but we don't have that exact date yet.

It's been an incredible season at good ol' 8605 Landis, we hope to see you this weekend for one more taste of summer! 75 and sunny on Saturday ain't bad either 😎

We can't lie, the restaurant biz ain't easy.

We've considered retiring the spatulas and strictly focusing on the sauce side of our business, but then we think about the impact we've had on our community and all the amazing people that look forward to visiting us every summer (or every weekend). Then we think, damn - the restaurant biz can be so rewarding, we should open another location or two! Then we realize we still have sauce to make. Then we do it all again, and we love every second of it.

🔈🔈SOUND UP 🔈🔈 We call it the off-season soundtrack - an eerie mix of swaying street signs, relentless wind, and the overall absence of life that plays along to an old saying here in town. "When the blinkers are on, the people are gone." (Alright, we made that up in like 2016, but it rings true for the most part) Plunge weekend is always different. E-A-G-L-E-S chants will drown out the moans of swaying street signs, jitneys will barrel through the relentless wind, and the blinkers? They'll be back to their regular schedules of green, yellow, and red. The Plunge itself may be no more, but like last year, we're not ready to let the entire tradition fade away. We'll be open Thurs-Mon and will also have a weekend tent at @oarhousepubsic selling shirts to raise money for the @polarbearrunwalkforautism. Thankfully the forecast for this weekend looks drastically different from the conditions above (almost 50 and sunny on Saturday!) and the water is a balmy 38.5°F.
