San Juan, Puerto Rico! Today we sailed into this beautiful land. We went in the opposite direction of most of the people on our cruise ship referred by my wonderful Puerto Rican friend Ayanna Mojica. She shared a local place to go to and we did that for lunch. Walking through neighborhoods getting a feel for the land or should I say the country. Puerto Rico is its own and only governed by the United States. All the people we ran into were wonderful, helpful, and beautiful. Would love to have stayed here longer to really get a feel for the land. Later on this trip, I will be doing something similar to that idea. We will stay in Jamaica for 10 days. There was a one day short excursion from a cruise ship then and I have always wanted to go back . Strange day for all of this to happen but relevant in terms of the beauty of the Puerto Rican people!
