So many basketball tournaments happening in Seaside in January and February. King Tide Seaside Home is a great place to stay. Super close to Seaside Civic and Convention Center and plenty of space to spread out, with a fully stocked kitchen. I am super excited about the dedicated work space that has a sit and stand desk and looks out of big beautiful windows. In this photo, the area that once had a small secretary now has a beautiful desk with adjustable height.

I have a question for you all. Over the coming months King Tide Seaside Home will remain available to rent, AND we will be working to update and renovate the home so it appeals to those who may find it on a platform like AirBnB, VRBO or Vacasa. Currently a large section of the back room is a dedicated exercise area. Is this appealing to you or would you rather see a sauna/ spa area with a massage table, sauna, and maybe some bright light that mimics the sun for those dark coastal days?

Want to go to the Oregon coast for New Year’s? Seaside is a fun destination. Walk the prom on NYE, go to the arcade or bumper cars (they are open until 11 PM every day), take a trip to Astoria for dinner. Or simply take time to stroll the beach, or sit and gaze at Tillamook Head from the comfort of the sofa. King Tide Seaside Home is available for rent 12/29 to 1/3. DM me for details or to book.

Spending time in Seaside during the off season is fun! The bumper cars and arcade stay open until 11 PM even on a Thursday night in December. Dinner Bay Wild Fish in Astoria was so good (Fry bread taco with Blackened Rockfish). If you want to come stay in the Tide Seaside house let me know and I'll cut you an off season deal.

For many years I would take my children to Seaside multiple times each year. My dad and his wife lived there and it was a place for us to rest, play, and gather with family. So many good memories on the beach, in the town, and in this home.

When my dad passed away in 2017, his wife remained in the home for several years, then moved to Georgia. The home has been used periodically and well maintained for the past several years. I continued to travel to the beach throughout the year, sometimes with my kids and sometimes for a solo retreat or a vacation with friends.

Yet, the house cannot sit vacant the majority of the year. It's too cool of a home, with too great of a legacy. It's not a fancy home; it's a home of comfort and joy and connection.

It's been a dream to keep this home available to the family AND to open it up as a short term rental so more people can feel the good energy and experience the great location. We are finally launching it as a short term rental and we are working hard to create a clean, comfortable and welcoming space.

The first project was to block off parking (per the regulations of the City of Seaside when converting a home into a Vacation Rental Dwelling). We decided to go with a garden patio look instead of fencing. Here is a photo of the work in progress.

We are currently taking reservations from friends in the month of August. We are doing a "soft opening" with those in our network before we put it on AirBnB.
