“When do I need to apply sunscreen?” I get this question asked a lot. Or if a client doesn’t ask, I’ll always get a sense that they don’t know after discussing their skin and daily habits.

The answer is EVERYDAY.

There is a misconception out there that you only need to wear your sunscreen if you are going outside and going to “be in the sun”. Let me remind you that the sun is everywhere…unless you are in a dark basement with no windows, wear sunscreen.

If the sun is up (meaning it’s day time), wear sunscreen. The UV rays travel straight through home and car windows, clouds, fog, and bad weather. If there’s light outside at all (no matter how overcast) or light in your living room, the UV rays are coming in contact with your skin.

Summer, fall, winter, or spring, wear your sunscreen! HA that rhymed, did you like it? Feel free to use it
