Seattle Cloud Cover by Teresita Fernández, 2004–6
Saturated color photographs are sandwiched in glass to form a unique relationship to the bridge.
This outdoor sculpture displays images of the changing skies as one might discover in nature or art.
It encourages the viewer to ponder how images of nature influence the way we perceive them through images of changing skies.

Moon Gates by Doris Chase, 1999.
These 3 bronze sculptures sit a stone's throw away from the world-famous Space Needle and you'll often see travelers interacting with them. The contrast of positive and negative spaces & circular and rectangular forms were actually made to entice the viewer to engage with the artwork.
Each sculpture contains a round void at its center, but the missing piece of the concave sculpture can be found attached to the top of the sculpture on a bearing that allows it to rotate.

Million dollar view of South Lake Union atop the Denny Way Substation.

The electrical substation was completed in 2018 at a cost of $210 million. On the left is the Denny Centre building (also known as REN) and to the right is Transforest.

Transforest combines forms drawn from the city's industrial history and from the local landscape to create a narrative of Seattle's system of electrical generation.
