Hey everyone, I'm Joshua and I'm in the CISB Spanish track. I spent a quarter in Leon, Spain studying Spanish, where I stayed with a host family (which I HIGHLY recommend) and got to go on epic weekend excursions which were literally some of the coolest places I've ever seen. The time spent in Leon was even more incredible, making friends in the university, going out to bars, studying at cafes and exploring the historic city sites. I made amazing lifelong relationships--one of my friends from Leon just came to the US for his first time to visit us! I learned how special it is to really live in a city, not just tour it. There's a different level of connectedness and appreciation that comes from living in a community. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity!

Minnie Thompson from the Japanese/Korean track went on a foster exchange program with Kobe University in Kobe, Japan!🇯🇵🏯🎌
She says the highlight of her trip was “taking the time I had off from class to tour all over the country and see some really amazing sights!”

Come join us for a night on the rink at the local Kraken Community Iceplex!

Steps for Ice-Skating

Date: Sunday, February 27, 4-6 pm
Transportation: Light Rail to Northgate (~17 min) + Walk to Ice Rink (~5 min)
Total Cost: $20 (Includes skate rental)

IMPORTANT: Walk-Ins are not allowed at the ice rink. You must register and purchase tickets online! There is a limited amount of space so please register ASAP to ensure your spot.

2. Click the red “Register” button
3. Create a new account
1. Fill in the information
4. You will be redirected to your dashboard
5. On the left-hand sidebar menu, click “Drop-In Events”
1. Choose Sunday, February 27
2. Scroll to the bottom
3. Choose “Public Skate Sundays” from 4-6 pm
6. Click add to cart, click the cart in the upper right-hand corner
1. Make sure to click on the event one more time to select skate rental if needed
7. Complete the checkout process
