Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market A connection to the world. We sell imported clothing from Central America, South America, and Asia direct to consumers at low prices.

Since 1973 our family has continuously run a retail outlet in the public day stalls of The Pike Place Market, as well as selling at numerous fairs, festivals, and markets regionally. Originally started by David Schaible, my father, who drove an old beat up Dodge van to Mexico with the ambition of buying clothing and returning to Seattle Washington to sell the merchandise. It took several trips thr

ough Mexico and eventually Guatemala, under uncertain conditions, before he was able to establish his business. Always needing to expand the the product lines brought him, his colleagues, wives, and children to Ecuador, Peru, Indonesia, Thailand, Loas, India, Tibet, and Nepal while raising a family. In recent years he has transferred his responsibilities to three of his sons, who have been trying to expand business further, while maintaining his senior position. Michael, Peter, and Jody have all actively worked within the enterprise and the Pike Place Market for most of their adult lives. We are open seven days a week, 362 days a year at the Pike Place Market.
