The days are counting to be able to enjoy the epic Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park before it opens to vehicle traffic!

Going-to-the-Sun Road is now open all the way over Logan Pass to hikers and bicyclists, when the road crew is not working!

When the road crew is working, the area between Bird Woman Falls Overlook and Lunch Creek may be closed. Any closures will be clearly marked and signed. The Road Crew Closure is typically in place Monday-Thursday until 4 pm.

Conditions can change quickly, and the road may close again (temporarily) to hikers and bikers for safety reasons. Follow all posted signage. Violators are putting their safety and the safety of our park rangers at risk and could face up to a $5,000 fine and up to 6 months in jail.

The alpine section of Going-to-the-Sun Road remains closed to vehicles.

Traveling to Glacier National Park this year? Updates to the Vehicle Reservation System are in effect. Be sure to educate yourself and know that you are able to visit Apgar Village this year without a reservation!

The Lodge consists of 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and can accommodate at least 18 overnight guests, and up to 28 for both indoor and outdoor dining. At more than 7,000 sq ft with an open concept design this structure is a chef and entertainer’s dream.

If you are looking to host a retreat, reunion, or wedding, we also now offer the ranch as a comprehensive estate booking.

ROAM beyond was the most magical place to stay! It takes glamping to a whole new meaning. The cabins themselves are SO cozy and cute. We stayed in September and I never felt cold. The outdoor showers were wonderful, but the indoor shower was luxury. I will recommend this to anyone heading to Glacier!!!!

For just a few weeks each year, adventurers of all levels can experience Glacier National Park by bike. We’ve planned a truly unforgettable itinerary, treat yourself to views like no other, farm to table dining, and an unplugged weekend!

You still have time to enjoy the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park this summer, just be sure to plan ahead and be prepared to secure your vehicle reservation at least 2 days in advance.

Going out to dinner on a Friday night? You might want to make a reservation.
Driving into Glacier in July? You might want to make a vehicle reservation.

24-hour advance reservations will become available at 8 am MDT on a rolling basis starting May 25.

May 26 through September 10: reservations are required for Going-to-the-Sun Road westside entrances and the North Fork from 6 am to 3 pm.

July 1 through September 10: reservations are required for east side entrances including Many Glacier, Two Medicine, and Going-to-the-Sun Road from Rising Sun from 6 am to 3 pm.

Vehicle reservations are required from 6 am to 3 pm daily. Those without a reservation may enter the park before 6 am or after 3 pm. The park is open 24/7.
