Our shore excursion on Friday from Alesund was to Rekkedal Guesthouse, a unique place for gatherings in Sæbø, Hjørundfjorden Norway.
Here you will be met by generation number 20, Karen Rekkedal, and can be taken around in the various houses and hear the history of the buildings and the farm dated back to the year 1500.
The experiences take place in a culturally historic environment with good local food, drink, culture and dramatic nature, a few minutes from the wonderful Hjørundfjord. The wine cellar is filled with self-imported wines from smaller wine farms in Northern Italy.
At Rekkedal Guesthous we have 5 different locations/environments we can serve in, and we can serve up to 80 persons. We focus on local food, experience and good hostmanship.

While in Oslo, we took the Hop on Hop off bus through the circuit- a great way to orient to a new city and learn a bit about the sites, history & culture. Then we walked over to Mathallen, the big food market.
