To my fellow US travelers:
If you’re looking to travel within the next 6 months and beyond, you need to know the timeline for passports right now due to such a huge backlog:

Routine
18 weeks (includes up to 12 weeks processing and 6 weeks mailing)
Expedited
12 weeks (includes up to 6 weeks processing and 6 weeks mailing)

Read that again this way:

Routine: 4.5 months
Expedited: 3 months

Don’t wait!!! Get your passports applied for or renewed now. This timeline isn’t going to get shorter.
