Christian Travel Study Programs, Inc.

Christian Travel Study Programs, Inc. We help you know more about your Bible and faith by traveling and experiencing God's world. These are sometimes called "pilgrimage tours".

CTSP has three distinct types of travel offerings: "Biblical Study Tours", "History of our Faith Tours" and "Guided Tours":

The "Study Tours" are typically led by Dr. Randall Smith, our director - and are essentially: "How does standing on this spot help you understand your Bible better?"

"History of our Faith Tours" go beyond the Biblical world around the Mediterranean and address the hist

ory and movement of the Christian faith. "Guided Tours" are trips that are planned by our office for group leaders that wish to travel with one of our hand-selected local guides. If you are a group leader, and would like information on how to initiate one of these three travel experiences, call us at the office: 863-382-9603 or email us at [email protected]! Over the many years of our travel and educational services, our office has provided complete travel study programs in Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Italy, France, Germany, Lichtenstein, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.

We kicked things off in the Ancient Agora of Athens—basically the ancient world's version of Main Street. Socrates debated here. Paul preached here. We just tried to keep our jaws off the ground. Temples, stoas, and ruins tucked between olive trees… it's like history is still whispering through the stones. 🏛️🫒

Then it was time for the grand finale: the Acropolis. And wow. Climbing that hill felt like stepping into the pages of a myth. The Parthenon is just as massive and majestic as you'd hope, and the views over Athens? Unreal. Full panoramic, sea-to-mountain kind of epic. 🏺⚡️

Now, fair warning—you won’t see many pictures from the top. Our designated photographer wasn’t with us for this part of the day (and we’re definitely feeling it 😅). But trust us: no photo could’ve done it justice anyway. Some things you just have to see for yourself.

Total ruins admired: all of them.
Total sunscreen applied: not enough.
Total moments we’ll never forget: too many to count. ❤️🇬🇷

Athens, you were everything we dreamed of—and more. Tomorrow we head back to the airport, but the memories we've made? Legendary.

You guys!

We kicked things off among the clouds—literally—with a visit to the Holy Monastery of the Great Meteoron, the crown jewel of Meteora. Built on a giant rock pillar like some kind of divine castle in the sky, it had everything: ancient frescoes, relics, and views that’ll make you forget how many stairs you just climbed. 🧗‍♂️⛪️

Next stop? The Holy Monastery of Saint Stephen—smaller, cozier, and beautifully cared for by a community of nuns who’ve turned it into a place full of grace and beauty. Bonus: no rock-climbing necessary. Just a bridge walk and boom—you’re in. 🙏🌸

After soaking up all that sacred silence, we hit the road again, winding our way down to Volos—a charming port city where the mountains slide straight into the sea. We wrapped up the day with sea breezes, coffee (again), and the kind of sunset that makes you want to move here permanently. 🌊🌄

Total stairs climbed: all of them.
Total awe-inspiring views: every single stop.
Total gratitude for days like this: overflowing. ❤️🇬🇷

Tomorrow, we head for the ports and start our cruise. See you then!

What. A. Day.

We started bright and early in Thessaloniki, grabbed some coffee that could raise the dead, and hit the road headed west. First stop? Vergina—home to the jaw-dropping tomb of Philip II of Macedon (yep, Alexander the Great’s dad 👑). Gold wreaths, ancient weapons, royal bling — Philip knew how to go out in style. 🏺✨

Next up was Berea (or Veria if you’re feeling fancy), where we stood in the footsteps of the noble Bereans from Acts 17. These were the OG fact-checkers—double-checking Paul’s message with Scripture 📖🔍. Plus, the town itself? Super charming. Think fresh air, flowing water, and cobbled streets straight out of a dream.

And just when we thought it couldn’t get any better… Meteora dropped the mic. 🚁 Massive rock pillars rising like stone skyscrapers from the plains, with ancient monasteries literally clinging to the cliffs. The views? Unreal. Like something out of a movie where you expect a dragon to fly by. 🐉🌅

Total miles: many.
Total memories: unforgettable.
Total times we said “wow”: we lost count. 😮❤️

Tomorrow, we explore the monasteries around Meteora, so stay tuned for some stunning scenes!

What a day! First, we visited the Holy Baptistery of Saint Lydia of Philippi. After, we visited the ancient city of Philippi, where Paul was jailed in Acts 16. We even saw the place where he was likely held prisoner!
