If you’re a beginner hiker, you don’t want to miss these gorgeous Sedona hikes:

SEVEN SACRED POOLS [ 1.2 miles, 110 feet of elevation ] — This easy trail takes about 30 minutes to complete, with added time for enjoying the view. The best time to visit the pools is after a rain if you want to see them full with water. But, it’s still gorgeous regardless.

HILINE TRAIL [ 8.4 miles, 1232 feet of elevation ] — Most people take this trail one or two miles in to a viewpoint and then turn around. There’s incredible views of Bell Rock, Courthouse Rock, and Cathedral Rock along the way.

DOE MOUNTAIN [ 1.5 miles, 490 feet of elevation ] — A short hike to the top of a red rock mesa that has gorgeous views in every direction. Some people walk around the perimeter of the mesa to get a 360 perspective.

CIBOLA PASS [ 2.0 miles, 310 feet of elevation ] — Starting at the Jordan Road trailhead, this trail takes you all the way to Devil’s Kitchen where you can connect over to the Seven Sacred Pools.

ANDANTE LOOP [ 2.2 miles, 435 feet of elevation ] — This trail hugs the side of Thunder Mountain and is a great hike if you’re looking for something short. There’s also views of Chimney Rock and Coffee Pot Rock.

COURTHOUSE LOOP [ 3.4 miles, 355 feet of elevation ] — A flat, moderate hike around Courthouse Butte, one of Sedona’s most prominent rock formations. It’s right near Bell Rock, too. So, you can experience both on this hike!

📍The Confluence (Havasu Creek and Colorado River)

Arizona is an adventurer’s paradise, and The Confluence is a perfect example of its raw, untamed beauty. This remote and breathtaking hike takes you deep into one of the most stunning areas in the state, where Havasu Creek meets the Colorado River. While it requires a permit from the Havasupai Tribe (and plenty of endurance), it’s worth every step! 🌊✨

The Journey:
From Supai Village, the 16.5-mile round-trip hike involves multiple creek crossings, and don’t forget the 16 miles to reach the village itself. It’s a challenge, but the scenery will leave you speechless.

Key stops along the trail:

Supai Village to Havasu Falls: 2 miles
Havasu Falls to Mooney Falls: 2 miles
Mooney Falls to Beaver Falls: 3 miles
Beaver Falls to The Confluence: About 4 miles
Things to Know Before You Go:
✨ Preparation: Bring plenty of water, snacks, and a water filter.
✨ Permits: A permit is required to access Havasupai lands.
✨ Physical Fitness: This hike is long and strenuous—ensure you’re prepared for the challenge.
✨ Navigation: Parts of the trail are not well-marked; download a trail map and be cautious of flash flooding during monsoon season.
✨ Leave No Trace: Respect the land—pack out all your trash and keep Arizona beautiful! ✅
