Costa-Alaska Fishing Adventures! This one really showed its beautiful color. AHI tuna is really good table fare. We brought a large cooler of these fish home this trip. YUM! Another amazingly tough fish! These big jacks can rip off line and are extreamly powerful fighters. Caught 5-6 of these in near shore fishing. They growl at you when they are out of the water. Not an eater, but really fun to catch.

My Marlin eluded me once again, but we got two hits that popped the clips on the outrigger. One big one came up and hit our teaser, and the guide said they can usually get a marlin to strike when interested in the teaser, by pulling the bait along side of it. It was driving me nuts with anxiety! The big one got away! So I have to come back. I grew up in Florida experiencing off shore tropical fishing, so I love going back to my roots.

From our Costa Rica Fishing Adventure. We now have a sister lodge in CR. We’re booking for next fall-winter. Date to be announced after consulting with our partners in CR. If you have never experienced chasing a school of Yellowfin during a feeding frenzy, you have never fished. These things are torpedos! Hang on! It’s awesome beyond description! Fun times, one more bucket list item checked off. Living the dream! Happy New Year!

We have two slots reserved for fishing in Costa Rica near Paquera. If you have never fished a tuna feeding frenzy, you have not fished. Marlin, sail and other off shore as well as near shore species like Rooster Fish and Jacks are available too.

We recently visited Costa Rica and have formed a new partnership with our sister lodge! If you have never chased a school of tuna, sight casting and hooking up, you simply have not fished! These things are torpedoes, so powerful, and delicious to eat. One of the most action packed fishing I’ve ever done.

If you have stayed with us, you’ve already proven you are an adventurer! Our sister lodge is run by a couple, is remote jungle property, away from high tourist spots, and has an authentic local chill. It’s our business model in the tropics.
