News from Shiloh National Military Park.

Come celebrate the park's 130th birthday with us!

On Friday, December 27th, Shiloh National Military Park will be commemorating the 130th anniversary of the park's creation. A special program will be offered at the Peach Orchard (Tour Stop #18). Beginning at 4:50 pm, hot chocolate and birthday refreshments will be offered courtesy of Hardin County Tourism at the William Manse George Cabin. At 5:00 pm, the park's all-volunteer cannon crew will present a twilight cannon firing. Once the smoke clears, Ranger Anthony Killion will present a ranger talk about the veterans who set aside their differences to create Shiloh National Military Park.

Parking will be available at Tour Stop #18 and in the open field across from the Peach Orchard. A short walk of roughly 100 yards will be necessary to reach the demonstration area. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and to dress for the weather.

WestStar Leadership Program is excited to announce the 2025 WestStar class, representing 19 counties across West Tennessee! After a highly competitive selection process, the WestStar Board of Trustees has chosen 35 outstanding individuals who will begin their leadership journey on January 30, 2025.

Throughout this program, participants will build valuable relationships with industry and community leaders, engage in immersive, real-world exercises, and share best practices from other influential community figures. With such a diverse class, these interactions will foster rich discussions and the creation of a robust network of leaders dedicated to the growth and future of West Tennessee.

We are truly looking forward to working with this dynamic group, and we are confident that, through their experiences with WestStar, they will return to their communities with a renewed perspective on the region and a stronger commitment to shaping its future.
