Up early making dining reservations for some precious clients that had to move their trip from fall break of last year to spring break of this year thanks to the hurricane.

Not only have I made her dining reservations at 5 am twice now, I handled all her cancelations and refunds in October so she didn’t have to!! Just a couple of my COMPLIMENTARY services as a travel agent when you book through me!

Pregnant Girl Fall 🍂🎃🍁

Here are some tips for traveling at 30+ weeks pregnant!

✅ Compression socks!!!! As a health care provider, I can’t say enough about wearing compression socks for feet/leg swelling. I had to up from my normal to 20-30 mmhg. But zero feet swelling when I wear them! They were under my cute outfit to TSwift 😍

✅ Prop those feet up. Also on the feet/leg swelling note, prop those feet up any chance you get if not wearing compression socks! It really does help.

✅ Snackssss. Something I’ve learned with pregnancy, when I get hungry, I need food NOW. Always have a pre-planned snack handy for when that pregnancy hunger hits!

✅ Dress comfy over cute. “I’ve been married for almost 10 years and I’m knocked up, who am I trying to impress??” 💀

✅ Bellyband!!!! If you’re gonna be up walking a lot on said trip, get a bellyband! It is so helpful to take the pressure off your hips. Also, get a black one, not a n**e one so people don’t think your belly is hanging out if it shows 🤣

✅ Meds. Don’t forget to pack your prenatals and any other meds needed during pregnancy! You may find yourself (or your sister) at the Piggly Wiggly next to your hotel if you forget that oh so important Nexium for the worst heart burn ever ❤️‍🔥

Let’s do some recaps and I’ll share some tips of traveling while pregnant.

Let’s talk about New Orleans since today is national cat today and we went to NOLA to see the main cat lady herself- Taylor Swift! 😻

Where we stayed: Best Western Bayou Inn
This hotel is right outside of the main city of New Orleans, so price was reasonable, especially for the TSwift weekend. If you’re looking for a less expensive place to rest your head for the night and awesome customer service, this hotel will do the job. Don’t expect much else though.

Where we ate:
District - All Day Delicious!
CANT SAY ENOUGH AMAZING THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE! The food was phenomenal, the service was top tier, and the wait wasn’t bad when every other brunch place had a 2 hour wait. I got the BLT add avocado and the girls got the grits, eggs, and bacon. Gouda grits 🧀😋

Cafe Du Monde
Did you even go to New Orleans if you don’t stop somewhere and get a beignet??
Pro-tips to consider:
✔️Cash only
✔️The iced coffee with chicory SLAPS
✔️Several locations and other places serve delicious beignets if you don’t care about going to the original

Universal in a Hurricane…my clients made the most of it! ☔️

Most of their trip was before the intensity of Milton was known. So they decided to ride it out, and added an extra night stay so they could use their last unused park day ticket! And they are so glad they did!! I checked on them daily, helped them decide how to handle the end of their trip with the park being closed, and did what I could to help them extend their stay.

Sure they had to deal with rain, but they also had low crowds, walk on rides, and got to have alllll the character interactions! And during fall break- this is unheard of!

The preciousness of this family overflows! She doesn’t have Facebook to leave me a review, so wanted me to share this as her review:

“I will admit that when I began looking into using some sort of travel agency, I was a bit hesitant. Not because I don’t love me some Lacey, but because I thought ‘there’s no way this can actually be cheaper than what I can find on my own AND I doubt it will be worth the extra money I’ll spend, anyway.’

BOY. WAS. I. WRONG.

Not only did you get us the best price, hands down, but the fact that I didn’t have to stress about even one single detail made this trip THE BEST EVERRRRRRRR! Even through a Hurricane!

Up early this morning to make phone calls regarding the hurricane for my clients traveling this week and to make 16 dining/other reservations for my clients traveling in December to Disneys Boardwalk Inn for her 50th Birthday!!

I was able to get my clients’ vacations moved to different weeks as they didn’t feel comfortable traveling to Orlando this week, cancelled their dining reservations we had made, and got their LL refunded. Today I’m working out the rest of the little details from a travel insurance perspective- ONE HUGE REASON THIS IS ALWAYS RECOMMENDED!

A few more photos from my most recent clients Disney trip! ✨

Here are some tips they helped me learn and shared with me:

If in need of a stroller rental: they had a great experience with Strollerfy!! It was a less expensive option compared to Kingdom Strollers and they mentioned that the parent consol was very helpful do have a place to put drinks phones toys etc! Also, they loved the Skyliner because you don’t have to fold up your single stroller! (You do for double strollers though)

One thing they didn’t think about with their Dining plan promo was that they would still have to pay gratuities for their table service, good to remember to remind my clients about!

When using the DAS pass, make sure the person who has the DAS pass scans their magic band first when walking through the queue! Hold it there until it turns green. Good to know! 💚

This next client has been planning and excited about this Disney trip since the beginning of the year!

She booked EARLY and got the dining promo where she got FREE DINING with her stay! Their favorite dining experience? Round-Up BBQ!!

This came as a recommendation from me when I found out one of their favorites was Toy Story! They had never dined here before as they haven’t visited Disney World in several years and this restaurant is fairly new!

This is what she said about it:

“We just finished woodys round up, 10/10!! We loved the food, loved the atmosphere, and they make it so fun! Every so often doing ‘Andy’s coming’, and ‘freeze’, and ‘act like a dinosaur’, etc. And they give you the option to ride a little ride on a horse to the table. Plus they will you out more of anything you want since it’s family style!”

As travel agents, we know what dining experiences highlight which characters, what experiences/lands are in each park, and where to find your favorite character meet and greets so we can make sure you and your kiddos get to see their favorite Disney movies come to life!!
