Throwing it back to a recent trip to western IL. Only a few photos of the MANY historical homes in , the Mighty Miss riverfront there, and one thrown in from an abandoned factory - just the cool looking wooden spiral staircase. I need to get back there when they have open house tours.

Interesting fact: There are over 3600 buildings and/or homes on the National Register in Quincy. I find that incredible for such a small town. 😎

As I was driving west on 71 today into Jonesville and crossing the Vermilion River bridge, one of these beauties came whipping in front of me, heading south to the Illinois River, coming kind of close to my windshield. Good thing I was going slow. It was one of the closest encounters I've ever had with one and it was amazing!

I'm so glad I made it to the farm yesterday for my at Donnie's. The sweet corn was so very good. I think it's the best I've had so far. Follow them on Facebook for updates on their produce. Apples are coming very soon.
