The Great Olympic Peninsula Duck Derby kicks off on April 21st, and we are SO EXCITED to host Mr. Rubber Duckie at the VIC this season!

2021 Citizen of the Year 🥳
Nominations for Citizen of the Year are now open at https://www.sequimchamber.com/coty/
The Citizen of the Year committee is made up of former winners of the award. The deadline for applications is Friday, February 16th, 2022. Guidelines can be found on the Chamber of Commerce website and listed under events and programs. Results will be announced in March and the winner will be recognized at the Chamber Luncheon on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022.
Created in 1986, the Citizen of the Year award was established to recognize individuals, who, through volunteer efforts, have made the Sequim-Dungeness Valley a much better place to live. The original award went to mayor Peter Black for his many selfless efforts in the community.

It was such an honor to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for 7th Haven - an affordable housing and childcare facility to be constructed next door in Port Townsend. Way to go Olympic Community Action Programs for spearheading the efforts - and all the collaborative partners who leaned in to make this project possible!
It was a glorious sunny evening at Civic Field - with views of the strait and mountains! The Olympic Peninsula is absolutely breathtaking, and it sure was fun to watch the @paleftiesbaseball win!
