I can't believe it is mid November already. These little people have been keeping us busy. Gwen joined gymnastics team this year and has to be in glens falls 3 days a week + meets. Max is not in school yet, but gets speech on the opposite days Gwen has gymnastics.

Max turned 3 this week! Meet the next generation, who we have been told will be hired by his sister to run Lake Paradox Club when Jess and I can no longer do it. To say it's been a busy summer is the usual statement, but we have yet to feel it slowing down. Gwen made the Glens Falls Gliders gymnastic team last week, and we will be adding in those practices and meets to our never-ending list of things to get done in a week. That being said, if anyone has any questions about their time slot for next summer, please email or call me. I know there has been confusion on this caused by rushed social media posts, and I am happy to answer any questions. I have already started making the schedule for next year, but I usually wait until the summer is over before I start sending out emails for schedule and deposits. We will continue to be busy thru September right up until Indigenous Peoples Day in October. This year we will be full for the Marathon and yours truly has been working all summer to prep for the half.

Blueberries are just about done, but cukes and zukes coming in strong! A fave-brownie like chocolate zucchini bread mini loaves in the fridge. Trying a new recipe today- Cinnamon roll zucchini bread. Just waiting for them to cool so we can glaze and put in the fridge. Should be ready by the afternoon!

Get these mini-me cukes before the garden gnome does! He can eat a whole pint in one day! Currently in season in the shed- green peppers, mini-me cukes, blueberries, lemon blueberry squash bread and eggs! Coming soon- tomatoes, green beans and squash!

We do not have an official ETA on power restoration. The summer houses have drinkable water, and the cottage shed does as well. ANYONE is welcome to come to my house and charge phones, cook food etc as long as our generator keeps up. We are happy to have people come cook their food so it doesn't go to waste, you are not imposing! The redhouse is also open and has power, but no water for those who want to charge anything there.

FYI- For those planning their vacations for 2025- We set our 10 week summer season by going back 10 weeks from Labor Day weekend. Next year Labor Day is 9/1, so our last Saturday is 8/30. This makes the first Saturday of the season 6/28/2025. Those who came 6/22 this year, will be coming 6/28 next year. It is confusing, but the shift happens every 7 years! This year, June had 5 Saturdays. Next year, it only has 4. I hope this helps plan your trip for next year. Either way, let's keep the lake vibes going! It's been a beautiful season so far!

PSA- if you see these orange bottles floating around on the lake, leave them and give them a wide birth. They have been placed by the Paradox Lake Association to mark a milfoil plant. This plant breaks off very easily, and that broken piece can re-plant in a new location. The PLA will come back and pull the plant and safely remove it from the area. Please do not pull out the plant as the entire root structure also has to be removed. Most of this marking and harvesting is done by volunteers. The PLA does hire a company to come hand harvest dense populations, but this is very costly.

You can help by cleaning your watercraft before putting it in the lake. Even kayaks and paddleboards.
