Inside Staterooms?
Have you ever wondered how bad an Inside Stateroom is?!? Keep reading to find out!
Our most recent cruise my daughter and I stayed in an Interior Stateroom on the Disney Wish. This specific room has a capacity of 3 people with a Queen bed and twin couch bed. We had a single bathroom, unlike Oceanview, Verandah and Concierge Staterooms which have split bathrooms (1 full bathroom and 1 powder room)
Pros:
1. Great sleeping room because it is pitch black at all times of the day.
2. Not a lot of traffic noise since you are in the middle of the hallway.
3. Least expensive stateroom category.
Cons:
1. Very tight, even for just the 2 of us. The couch was right at the foot of the bed, we definitely felt right on top of each other while we were awake.
2. Housekeeping carts were constantly parked at our door since it was out of the main hallway.
3. One bathroom, made for getting ready a bit of a challenge.
4. Deck 10 Specific: lots of noice above us since the main dining room was above, the clanging and banging began *early* each morning.
5. Only view of the outside from our room was on our TV from the BridgeCam- this is only a 1/2 con because that was a super near feature!
Final thoughts and would I book another Inside Stateroom? Overall our cruise was incredible, but I would be hard pressed to choose an Inside Stateroom again. I would have to be desperate and the cruise have incredible ports, or an insanely cheap deal to intentionally pick this stateroom again. In my opinion, the extra cost of an Ocean View port hole or window would be 100% worth it over an inside room. Yes, it is true that we were not in our room much on a 3 night sailing, but still, not my favorite stateroom.
