"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a couple nights at Breathtaking View for our mini-honeymoon. The cabin was spacious and clean with plenty of starter amenities (perfect for a short stay), comfortable beds, a great kitchen, and remarkable views of Mount LeConte and the surrounding Smokies. We are a very small cabin management company. I want to stay small because I want to give our guests individual attention. This person stayed just after tropical storm Helene. We try to email our guests any issues we may see about the weather and the area ahead of their arrival. Large cabin management companies just can't do that I believe. Part of making sure that our guests have everything they need for a great smoky vacation is arming them with information.
"This property is literally on top of the mountain of wears valley, elevation is 2160 ft. The views are stunning and the cabin was very clean and comfortable. All the essentials that you would need for your stay are provided.. The travel to pigeon Forge from the cabin was very easy and the drive has stunning views. This property is to me located in the perfect location to all of the attractions you would want to visit. Another great thing is the peace and quiet during the day or night. One thing I wasn't expecting when I started renting out my vacation home was the many wonderful guests. Here is a review from one of our guests. "My expectations for this rental were very high and I was not disappointed. The cabin was exactly what I was expecting. The cabin is set-up and well thought through for the convenience of the guest The description of the amenities were helpful in preparing for my trip. I had wondered what the coffee pot situation would be. I checked the amenities and I had the choice of brew or K-cup. Just an example of the attention to details. The refrigerator was empty, room for my groceries. . Before I started for the cabin, a video came showing how to reach the cabin. I watched it and noted turns and landmarks which were really helpful to know about especially since I arrived after dark. The other event that made my stay unique was, I was there at the cabin during the hurricane Helena. Mary Beth had learned of a road closure that we needed to know about before our departure, so she texted us. The cabin was a 10. The owners were a 10. I want to go back as soon as I can." There are some reviews that make me want to be at one of our Great Smoky Vacations Cabins. "We absolutely loved our stay here. The views are incredible, and photos just don’t do it justice. Walking up each morning with coffee and watching the sunrise or sitting out front for dinner and watching the sunset is just good for the soul! There is so much to do at the cabin as well as the surrounding areas. The cabin itself is one of the cleanest and well stocked rentals we have ever stayed at. We highly recommend staying here. "Probably the best view in all of the Smoky Mountains! The cabin was clean and spacious. No matter where you were, you had a a view. You can do as much or as little as you want in the Sevierville Area. There is so much to do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge that you will never run out of things to do. Or, you can just relax on one of our spacious decks with a beverage and gaze over those beautiful Smoky Mountains.

We love to hear when multiple generations vacation together. No doubt everyone in their party will go home with some great lasting memories. "We were very impressed with the entire house! Well maintained, very well stocked kitchen and had more entertainment for the kiddos than they could possibly ever do in our 4 day stay. They loved all the games, movies, ect. and the Kids Cave downstairs. The pool was a short drive down the road and was so nice, the kids loved it! The handicap accessibility worked well for the rotator my brother uses. Within a 5 minute drive from the house is a couple small grocery stores, a gas station and a pizzeria. I will definitely book again."

We often wonder about our decisions to put certain things in our cabins. We think including a crate so people don't have to bring theirs was a good idea. This review makes me think we made the right decision.
"Mary Beth was excellent at communicating with us and giving recommendations of things to do in the area. The property is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS with the best views of the Smokeys in all of the surrounding towns. I loved waking up to amazing sunrises from the 2nd level bed. The house was well equipped with everything your could need. The dog cage was emense and so appreciated that we didn't have to pack ours and take up space in our van when already packing for 2 adults, 3 kids and a large dog. Our lab is about 75-80 # and there was still so much room for her in the pen that I think a great dane could have fit! I can't say enough about the amazing views that we wouldn't have had to leave the property to see better ones. And don't forget about the several bear sightings we had on the property including the front porch! Such an amazing trip and close enough to go to Cades cove, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I cannot wait to return! Thanks for your place Mary Beth for our family to make unforgettable memories ❤️

One of my favorite trips while visiting one of our "Great Smoky Vacations" cabins is going to Mingus Mill, the oconaluftee visitor center, Newfound Gap and Clingman's dome.

Next to the Oconaluftee Visitor Center is the Mountain Farm Museum. Recreation of pioneer Appalachia in Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

June is flame azalea season in the Smokies.

Gregory’s Bald is a popular destination to view one of the most amazing diversity of azalea varieties found anywhere in the world.

It is believed that bees have cross pollinated four original varieties to create the dozens of colors which are now present.

However, a clear day on Gregory’s Bald in June is as elusive as a four leaf clover, you know it’s there but you need a little luck to find it.

We try to think of everything you may need to have a wonderful Smoky Mountain Vacation. We love to hear when our guests have a great time in one of our Great Smoky Vacations cabins. "Breathtaking View is aptly named! The view of the mountains is unbelievable. The pictures don't do it justice. The cabin is located in a resort. The drive up the mountain was paved and safe and easy to navigate. The cabins are far enough apart to maintain privacy. It was a quiet setting and very relaxing. The cabin itself was remarkable. It had everything we needed and then some. It is a quick 10-15 minute drive from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and anything you could need. There was good communication from the owners. This place was all pros and no cons! We would definitely recommend and will stay again!"

We are very excited about the changes we have made at Smoky Mountain Splendor. We moved the media center to the lower level. There is now plenty of seating that reclines for the entire family. We put a pool table and an arcade machine in the loft. Now you can challenge your family members to a game of pool. We installed bright lights over the horse shoe pits.
