Had a resent guests that rode their bikes to the cabin. Do not recommend this unless you are an experienced and fearless rider. It can be done but it is tough. Might have to consider a waiver. Lol, glad they had a great time but please take a car next time.

If you are a baseball fan and staying in Gatlinburg you need to check out our double A team the Smokys. Great value, great food amd great baseball. Not a bad seat on the house.

So far Mountain Memories Cabin is safe but still being threatened. I want to thank all our guests, family and friends who have reached out to us today. We are supposed to get rain this evening and hoping for a drenching. Please keep all the families, police and firefighters in your prays. They are out helping others as there on homes are being threatened.

Here is some good info from a good friend and Realtor Beth Smith of Century 21.

All of you know we are famous for our Fall colors here, and we are asked every year, "when is the peak"? So we got it straight from the naturalists at GSMNP! According to the National Park Service, color displays start in mid-September in the elevations higher than 4000 feet in the Smokies, and reach their peak there from October 1-15. But in the lower elevations (Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg) peak color is usually seen October 15- November 7. Some suggested drives to enjoy the colors are Little River and Laurel Creek Roads between Sugarlands Visitors Center and Cades Cove. Keep in mind that traffic on Newfound Gap Road and Cades Cove Loop Roads are very heavy, especially late in the day. So get up early and enjoy—then go for pancakes!
