Exciting new addition coming to Pigeon Forge

The creators of the Ark Encounter in Kentucky are bringing a new virtual reality experience to Pigeon Forge! ✨

Truth Traveler will be an immersive VR experience that takes guests on a virtual journey through the Bible from the Garden of Eden, Noah’s Ark and the birth of Jesus. The experience will also feature a planetarium that will take guests through the cosmos. Expected opening early 2025.

“Yes, this color is my natural complexion!”

The Red Burrowing Crayfish (Cambarus carolinus) is one of many species of crayfish that lives in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This crayfish lives its entire life beneath a small tower of mud called a castle. Burrowing crayfish have adapted to a more terrestrial lifestyle by keeping a small amount of water at the bottom of their burrows to keep their home moist.

The diversity of crayfish in Great Smoky Mountains is high, with 11 species currently identified that call this park home. Have you ever spotted one of these elusive creatures?

👀 Look what's coming!!!

A new outdoor enthusiast park is coming to Sevier County. The huge tract of land will offer access to massive hiking and biking trails as well as Guided UTV tours. Essentially, the place will be like being in the National Park without being in the park.

Seeing big trees is often on the to-do list of visitors to the Smokies, and the park doesn’t disappoint! With nearly a quarter of the park never having been logged, there are ample opportunities for visitors to walk amongst the giants. If seeing big trees is on your list, ask a ranger to point you towards the giants of the park. Remember to plan ahead and research trail distances and elevation changes before hiking, as some of these trails can be challenging. Hike smart and be prepared!
