The NWS has indicated that there is an elevated fire danger for this afternoon.
Very dry air and gusty winds will lead to increased fire danger through this evening. Low Humidity, increased winds combine, dry brush, grasses,and other fuels have lead to an increase in fire danger across the region. The TN Div of Forestry is not issuing any Burn Permits today.

Please do not burn any debris today.

Come join us on Thursday, October 28th for our annual Community Spooktacular and Safety Day Event. The event will start at 3:30pm and will be held in the Pigeon Forge Community Center parking lot. Enjoy trick-or-treating, costume contests, safety day demonstrations and much more! Also, back by popular demand, our City wide Spooktacular Scavenger Hunt. ANNOUNCING the all NEW Winterfest at The Island in Pigeon Forge! Join us Friday, November 12th at 6 pm as the The Island Show Fountain Courtyard comes to life! This is the kick-off of our brand new choreographed 40-foot high, LED Christmas Trees and Island Show Fountain Winterfest Show. The Winterfest kick-off show begins at 6 pm and features the Smoky Mountain Jazz Orchestra, an 18 piece big band ensemble that will play the classics including your favorite Christmas songs with a swingin’ twist! Santa will be available for photos from 3 pm - 9 pm, with a short break for our Winterfest Show at 7 pm. Make plans to join us for this kick-off to Winterfest at The Island in Pigeon Forge on Friday, November 12th at 6 pm. There will be a 100% chance of snow.

On TOP of the World 🌎⛰ ❤️

Want to feel like you are on top of the world? Look no further than Clingmans Dome! This is the highest point of elevation in the park at 6,643 feet in elevation. From the parking lot, it is a half-mile hike up to the observation tower which is where this photo was taken. At the top of the observation tower, you will get a 360-degree view of the park on a clear day. The hike up is paved but steep! Please bring water and snacks to enjoy at the benches every tenth of a mile. It also can be 10-15 degrees F cooler than lower elevations in the park, so please pack accordingly! What’s your favorite place to see our mountains?
