Our Story
LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! Our cabins sit high on Cove Mountain. Both cabins are nestled at the end of private driveways. Although you are close to conveniences, you feel as if you are in a totally secluded setting. Both cabins face west so you see beautiful sunsets every evening. Our cabins are right on the edge of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Situated in Wears Valley, TN, about 9 miles from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It’s a short drive to the Parkway/Pigeon Forge and all the attractions. If you prefer, you can avoid the Parkway all together, and travel directly to downtown Gatlinburg through the National Park for a beautiful, scenic drive.
Next Step Heaven is a 2,400 sq ft cabin with three levels of living space. The cabin sits on a 5 acre lot, so there are no cabins right next door. There is ample parking for up to 4 cars. Additional parking is available in the cul-de-sac at the end of the private driveway. The main floor features a cozy living area with a gas fireplace, flat screen TV (Direct TV), an open kitchen and dining area. The floor to ceiling windows offer amazing views from every angle. The large deck just off the main living area has plenty of seating and a swing for enjoying the views. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the main floor. The upper level is an open and airy loft with amazing views. There are two queen beds and a full bathroom in the loft. The lower level has a pool table, sleeper sofa, a full bath, and a laundry room. The room has floor to ceiling windows and a deck with a whirlpool bath. There is a flat screen TV with Direct TV.
A Step Above is “above” Next Step Heaven on Cove Mountain. It is over 4,000 sq ft with two levels of wrap around decks. The main level has two separate entry doors with security keypad locks. The main level boasts vaulted ceilings, windows galore, and multiple seating areas. There is a flat screen TV (Direct TV), a dining area and beautifully renovated kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances. The spacious deck has rocking chairs and a porch swing for enjoying the views. The upper level has a loft seating area with a small flat screen TV (Direct TV). There are two bedrooms with vaulted ceilings on this level and a full bath. One bedroom has a queen bed, and the second bedroom has two twin beds. The lower level game room has comfortable recliner seating, a flat screen TV (Direct TV), a pool table and a game table. There is a queen bedroom on this level, a full bath, and, a custom theater room with terraced seating. The game room opens up to the lower deck, which features rocking chairs and a hot tub.
Next Step Heaven is pet friendly. We gladly welcome your canine family member with specific veterinary requirements (detailed information provided at booking). We do charge a pet fee of $95 per dog, payable at the time of booking. Dogs must be crate trained, and crated when left alone in the cabin. There are no exceptions to this rule. Our insurance company requires this, and it is challenging to find a commercial insurance carrier that will allow pets. Therefore, we must adhere to their regulations.
