Join us for a weekend of adventure and reflection in the Resurrection Bay! Find your place, outside. Connect with nature, yourself, and others while practicing paddle skills and hiking remote rainforest trails.

Laugh, play, relax and make time for you on this one-time weekend getaway. This trip was imagined and created by Certified Clinical Adventure Therapist Becks Jacobs and sea kayak guide Tziporah Lax in an effort to make space for women to feel at home and powerful in the outdoors.

We’ll mix therapeutic activities with engaging conversation about the ecosystem, our place in it, and the connections between. Our facilitation activities encourage self-exploration and empowerment, finding healthy ways of self expression, aligning actions with personal values, and stress reduction.

Tomorrow (May 5) is National Day of Awareness For Missing and Murdered Indigenous Womxn and Girls. Murder is the third leading cause of death for Native womxn (https://www.uihi.org/projects/our-bodies-our-stories/ ). We can show support by learning more about this epidemic and by wearing red in solidarity on May 5. The Seward Wilderness Collective seeks to engage awareness and action on ecological and cultural injustices. The Seward Wilderness Collective is beyond grateful to all of our community members who make this event possible – from our amazing farmers and producers to all of our neighbors who show up to support us each week. To celebrate the end of our summer, we have a few fun things in store for our last market:

- 💋 🤡 the SFM will host a COSTUME CONTEST this weekend – kids AND adults are welcome to participate! We invite our little ones to come to the market for (a slightly out-of-season ;) ) trick-or-treat! 🤠

- 📖 🌺 we are so very lucky to have a visit from Mrs.D's Book Mobile this Saturday! Mrs. D works to promote literacy by providing FREE books to children, teens, and young adults. - 🌸 Local Seward organization HYPER will join us once again to host an interactive children's museum. We love the energy HYPER brings to the market space 🤸

-OPEN MIC! The Seward Writers' Coffee Hour will be hosting our final SFM open mic of the season! This week's theme is: Convergence and Letting Go. Feel free to respond to the theme, or share any pieces of writing, poetry, music. 🕊

Our penultimate market of the season is THIS SATURDAY 26 AUGUST!

We are thrilled that will be joining us once again for a pop-up bicycle workshop! We're excited to celebrate sustainable transportation in our area.
Anyone who comes to the market on a bicycle will also be able to claim a *free* prize at our market booth... bring your wheels Saturday to find out more.

Once again, in collaboration with the Seward Writers' Coffee Hour we'll be holding another open mic session. Appropriately, our week this theme is "Seward Spokes." Come share your stories about cycling, traveling, or anything else that gets your wheels turning! As always, our open mic themes are only for inspiration, we welcome any writers, poets, and musicians to the mic.

We're so excited to kick off August with another Seward Farmers Market!

At our community hub you'll find:
-fresh, local food
-artisanal craft from Seward and the Kenai peninsula
-activities and play areas for children
-music and poetry readings
-time to spend with your neighbors and much more...

We are once again thrilled that is hosting another bicycle workshop! From our friends at Big Beach you'll be able to buy bikes at a low cost AND learn how to fix and maintain your bikes (for free!). These folks are doing amazing work to build up a community around sustainable transport here in Seward, so make sure you pay them a visit!

As always, we'll also be hosting our weekly OPEN MIC at the SFM. Come by with your poetry, musical stylings, written pieces, or anything else to share with the community. If you're in need of inspiration, our theme for this week's open mic is SAVORING SUMMER.

Sun is in the forecast... and so is another Seward Farmers Market THIS SATURDAY, JULY 22ND! We are so excited to spend another Saturday with our community celebrating local food and craft.

This week we are thrilled that Big Beach Bicycle Cooperative will be holding another pop-up bicycle workshop at our market. Bring your bicycles that need repairs and come to meet fellow cyclists in the community! We love what the cooperative is doing to build a cohort of sustainable-transport enthusiasts in our area.

This summer we have also been joined by local Seward organization HYPER (Happy Youth Programs + Educational Resources). HYPER has been bringing their children's pop-up museum to our markets, gifting us with an engaging and vibrant space for Seward kids. Make sure your stop by their tent to learn about the important work they are doing for families in our community.

This week's market will once again host our OPEN MIC event, brought to you by the Seward Writer's Coffee Hour. Come by to share your poetry, writing, songs, or any other works and works-in-progress. OPEN MIC is a wonderful, low-key way to share your creativity with the community.
