I’M SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS PAINTING!!! We snagged a couple pieces of local art for the new cabins! They are coming right along and we are almost to the fun step of decorating them!! We put together a nice little “Getaway Basket” as a donation to the Seward Polar Bear Festivals Silent Auction that’s happening on Friday night! Come out and bid on some of the goodies!! Yes, we have bears at our property regularly- especially this summer! We want to say Thank you to our guests for being so diligent in properly using our “Bear Proof” garbage can! We have been lucky enough to deter the varmints and other much bigger creatures that attempt to raid the trash! This can has seen better days but it’s still doing it’s job!

This weekend we were able to attend a pageant! Seward’s own .daniellee put on Seward’s FIRST pageant! It was a lovely little production! MountainTop Cabin was a sponsor of the “Little Miss Alaskan Rose” category. This is her receiving her sash in the blue dress. The second photo is all the age category winners together! They were: Elementary, Pre-Teen, Teen, Miss and Mrs. They all did wonderful and it was hard to pick! Thank you to Nora for thinking of us and congratulations to all the winners!

The weather hasn’t been so great this year but we were able to add a little color to the cabin thanks to Trail River Greenhouse in Crown Point today!
