As of June 29, there are no large wildfires on the K-Pen that is creating the current smoky conditions. The smoke impacting the peninsula is coming from wildfires in the interior. Note that there is a "moderate" air quality advisory in effect through Friday July 1st, which means individuals that are physically sensitive should consider reducing prolonged exposure outside and should not do any heavy exertion activities.
