"A pangolin sighting usually evokes one of two emotions; uncontrollable elation for those guests and rangers who know what they're about to see, and confusion for those who have no idea what a pangolin is.
Thus, the purpose of today's blog is to introduce the pangolin in such a way that everyone can share the excitement of seeing these amazing animals, whilst raising awareness around a Critically Endangered Species.

It is World Pangolin Day, and the goal and effort of such a day is to raise awareness and bring to light the plight of such an adorable, interesting and unique animal.

From legendary Mapogo coalition of six males who tore through the Lion and Hyena populations of the reserve in the early to mid 2000’s, onto the Majingilane males who ruled the roost on Londolozi for way longer than most coalitions hold tenure, to the Plains Camps Males who fearlessly move between the Avoca and Birmingham Males’ territories on a regular basis.

Londolozi has witnessed some of the most thrilling male lion dynamics over the years.

We've been enjoying some amazing big cat sightings at a number of our camps recently (it's almost as if they know that it's Big Cat Week in the US). This female has been spotted a few times recently around Duba Plains and she looks as though she may be nursing cubs in the area. Hopefully we'll be able to share photos of new leopard additions soon.⁣
