It's #NationalPublicWorksWeek!
Join us in celebrating and showing appreciation for our incredible Public Works Employees who advance the quality of life in the City of Shasta Lake.
Check out this video featuring our hardworking teams. From maintaining and enhancing our beautiful parks, to ensuring clean water and safe streets, their dedication is unmatched. While taking time to capture these moments, it was pretty incredible to see what goes on behind the scenes to keep our City running and the knowledge and commitment our teams have.
Thank you, Public Works team, for all you do!
It has been such a fun process to see this collaborative effort come together. We are excited to share that the expansion of Lassen Field at Bizz Johnson Ballpark has been completed! In addition to the field expansion, new lights were installed and the dugouts were renovated for accessibility. We are proud of our park facilities and can’t wait to see our teams and community put it to good use once the new sod has settled.
It was great to see everyone come out, rain and all, to celebrate the Shasta Lake community at the 2024 Boomtown Parade! Thank you @shastadamboreeinc for putting on a great event! Can’t wait to see everyone at the rescheduled boomtown festival in the park on June 1st. #thisisshastalake
Thank you to all our volunteers who came out on Saturday for our Shasta Lake Street Clean Up Event! Together, we were able to collect 50 bags of trash along Lake Boulevard and Pine Grove Ave. Thank you for being stewards of our community. Also, a big thank you to Shasta Lake Chamber Caltrans, and Premier Brand Meats for helping make this event happen. #ThisIsShastaLake #CleanCalifornia

The Shasta Lake Lions did a great job of honoring our Veterans at the 30th annual Veteran’s Day Parade. Thank you to all who helped make this event happen and a huge thank you to our Veterans 🇺🇸 #thisisshastalake
This week is Public Power Week, recognizing the advantages of public power. The City of Shasta Lake is one of about 2,000 non-profit, community-owned electric utilities across the country. The City's public power utilities operate as a public service, with a mission to provide reliable electricity at a reasonable cost. Take a minute to learn more about public power and what it means for you and our community.
Today we had the exciting opportunity to watch the new snack shack/restroom facility at Bizz
Johnson Ballpark get set into place! We know community members have put in many hours in the old building, making memories while volunteering for Little League. We are excited that the new building will provide ADA accessibility and accommodate our growing Little League organization, including the Challenger's Division. This new facility was made possible through grant funding from Proposition 68 and the McConnell Foundation, as well as the dedicated work of our Public Works team. We can't wait to see it in use during baseball season! Shasta Dam Area Little League The McConnell Foundation
