This is Pam Phillips, Blue's Hawaii expert reporting from Outrigger Waikiki Beach.
Prior to my first visit to Honolulu, I heard comments like, "Skip Oahu, it's nothing but New York City with a beach." Or, "Unless you're into WWII and want to visit Pearl Harbor, you don't need to go."
Here's my take. I live in a very rural area. Waikiki's hustle and bustle comes with many shops, restaurants and bars all within walking distance of many hotels. It also has gorgeous Diamond Head, white sand beaches and has great waves, attracting hundreds of surfers daily. The gorgeous Outrigger Waikiki Beach has not only two amazing restaurants, including the World Famous 'Dukes', but has a fantastic downtown Waikiki location, daily Hawaiian cultural activities and a beautiful stretch of white sand beach.
But Oahu is not just Waikiki. For those looking for a less developed, natural Hawaii...Oahu's North Dhore is for you. Beautiful waterfalls, 20' waves and sea turtles all within a one hour drive of Honolulu.

Ticked a box off my wish list! Crossed the glass walkway that connects the two towers of London's Tower Bridge
Less famous to Americans to Lindon Bridge(whose most recent iteration is a boring, flat, concrete thing built in the 1960s ) Tower Bridge has been steadfastly at its post for almost 20 years. The two towers were originally designed with the catwalk for maintaining the Bridge. Today, it's available to tour and cross above both river and bridge traffic.

Hi, this is Pam Phillips, Blue's European Expert. I want to share my beautiful villa at @santopureofficial All Suites hotel. Perched on a cliff overlooking the Aegean Santo Pura is a blissful respite from Oia crowds, but close enough (10 minutes walk) to the Caldera and old town square
The concrete villas are cool respite from the Santorini sun. Each suite consists of a bedroom, bathroom, living room, and kitnette. The main pool boasts the resort's restaurant and bar. Each block of villas has its own pool, and each suite has a private infinity pool or hot tub.
Truly My Blue Heaven here on Earth (the Satorini part).

Day 2 in Oia, the Santorini's second largest town. Our hotel the beautiful Santo Pura (pix to follow) is just a 10 minute walk to the historic center of Oia. Early risers will get to enjoy the town before the shops open and the crowds arrive. Want to shop? Arrive before noon when the cruise ship passengers arrive. Oia is the most crowded at sunset. If you want to enjoy a long lingering sunset, make dinner reservations at a restaurant overlooking the caldera.
