Misery.

While I feel like I could attach that word to many things (such as our cold cold weather), the Sheridan Civic Theater Guild has teamed up once again with the Wyo Theater to bring this 3- person production to you!
-
Got to see the dress rehearsal last night in the Mars Black Box theater and it’s well done! The cast is fantastic! I would not have seen Misery otherwise, (due to the nature of the story) however I did learn something about it (I’ll keep it a secret so if you don’t know and are planning on doing - which I do encourage - I won’t spoil it for you!!) another person in the audience shared her peanut butter and jelly MnMs. Another first!

Sunshine 🌞 (we need more of that in ole Wyoming) Superman’s are a full body workout! How many can you do in 1 minute? How long does it take you to do 10? (Before I did a full 5 set of 10, it took me about a minute 15….) may turn this into a personal goal….

Who all travels with their pets?

It’s a bit of a love - not love thing, yes? Sometimes the freedom of being without them is lovely, yet I always love coming home to her.
🐾

If you leave your pet at home while you travel, does someone come in and stay? Come by a couple times a day? Do they go to some sort of boarding facility? Or does a lovely friend invite them to come stay and play with their ?

In the Sheridan area there are quite a few options though for this little peanut, she prefers to travel.

I did this two years ago; it sure was fun!! This Sunday - in Story, Wyoming. Will be a fun way to spend a beautiful day.

Do you want to try out Nordic skiing or do you know someone who wants to check out Nordic skiing? along with the Sheridan Recreation District, will be hosting a learn to ski day at Centennial Park in Story, WY on February 9th, from 10 am - 2 pm.

We will mostly have classic skis, but we do have a few sizes of skate skis that people can demo as well. We have a wide variety of boots and skis to fit most individuals with shoe sizes from kids 2 to adult size 14. This will be a great way for a family to try out the sport of Nordic skiing, FOR FREE!

We will have our newly acquired mobile ski fleet at Centennial Park, along with a fire pit, hot cocoa, s'mores, and more! We would love to see your face and allow you to experience the thrill of Nordic skiing! Again, there will be no charge for demoing skis.

I can’t remember what came first - a client who was looking for Vegan Fare or a client who wanted to gift her with a basket for her hard work? How exactly did I meet Heidi? I’m not sure I remember.

What I do remember is eating her delicious food, cooked in her food truck - Wyo Thai Food outside of Black Tooth Brewery here in Sheridan.

I remember her friendliness (which she still has), her gluten free fare (again still serving it) and her generous portions (and I’ll probably have some for dinner).

She’s recently opened up a “take out” joint on North Main and when the weather gets warm, well that just may be the place to be!

The Massaman Coconut Curry + Mango Sticky Rice for dessert sure does a person good on this January day!

One of my favorite classes is the belly dancing class at the Sheridan YMCA .ymca - it’s only held once a week. It’s taught in a dark room (from the outside it looks black inside; once you are inside you realize you can see quite well). I suspect she teaches the class in this manner so that you move your body more in the ways she instructs versus how you think it should look (because it’s not step aerobics and it’s not Zumba or some other Latin dance). At one point, we were up on our toes - and I found myself over pronating and wondered if it happens because I have weak ankles? I vaguely recall working on this in physical therapy at one point. I’m not sure it really matters as I continue on with life though it did make me think. That said, the Y is full of a variety of classes and well worth checking out.

I know many people don’t like to exercise, they do it for what it does for their body, and / or maybe their mind.
🐾
I like to exercise, for both the body and my mind. Some workouts manage to take all the, what feels like pieces in my mind, shakes them up and places them perfectly back together. Much like a puzzle.

I don’t always “feel” like exercising though - maybe that happens to you, too? So it’s a good thing that I have this to get me outside, even on a cold, SNOWY winter evening.

Black Mountain Nordic made a good call earlier today, canceling the full moon excursion- I’ve driven enough highways and mountains in the blowing snow and I suspect there are drifts up top.
🐾
One thing about all this snow, there are plenty of places to go sledding; we even have a hill in our “backyard.” I had to talk Ruby out of trying it as we headed home.

Do you have favorite hills to sled, in Sheridan? The Dan Madia Football field, Linden Hill and up at Trail End/Kendrick Mansion .mansion are a few of my favorites.

Resolution 5k! There was another dog in the race so it’s safe to say that while I had no intention of “running being part of my New Year’s resolution” we still ran (some)! Thank you at Sheridan Recreation District and PURENERGY Fitness for hosting and sponsoring … it was dry when we launched and it’s been snowing for the last 90 min or so!

Tomorrow I’ll act alive again.

Spent the day in my Sundays (comfortable and flattering), reading and admiring my little village of trees. (Kind of ironic, considering the book) Sad that it’s finished -I may have to go get another! (Yes, I do recommend). Thank you Sheridan Stationery it’s been a long while since I’ve lost myself in a book the day after Christmas!

Great way to cruise into Christmas (maybe treat myself since I got my Christmas gifts in the mail)… and start the new year! With a pair of goodr sunglasses from the Sheridan Bicycle Company - and talk to one of my faves (David).

I don’t personally think you can go wrong with goodr - so many to choose from for all your activities! Bicycling, walking the , juggling in a field somewhere out in Parkman, slinging jewelry at a Fair, grinding coffee, hitting the ski slopes….

And ya, I only bought one pair…. Giving my Santa a chance to buy me another!
