We were lucky not to have any Hurricane Helene damage but we did get a ton of debris that came down from the flow through all the lakes. Clean up is under way. 1/2 way done.

Perfect Long Weekend
I do not have enough superlative adjectives to describe how wonderful our experience was. The owners are beyond accommodating and there is a level of professionalism within the home that I have yet to encounter in a rental home which still maintains such warmth and appeal. The view is better than pictured and the property is nicely nestled in a fairly private area. We heated the pool and it was perfect throughout the weekend and was enjoyed by all. The house is also much larger than expected. The lowest level is absolutely huge and was enjoyed by my son and his six college friends who visited for the weekend. They enjoyed the ping pong table and other indoor attractions, but spent most of their time on the lake or on the large patio and pool area. This house is great for large groups as my husband and I barely saw or heard my son and his friends most of the time. We also enjoyed the screened in porch which had great lake views. This house was simply beyond our expectations and we could not have been more pleased.

Gorgeous Home perfect for a group getaway
Kayak Cove was the perfect stay for our large group getaway! The home is very large and is situated with a gorgeous view of Lake Norman. We loved enjoying our morning coffee from the screened in porch. The home has everything you will need while staying away from home and every detail is well thought out. The host is easy to communicate with and very accommodating. I highly recommend Kayak Cove and hope to stay there again myself in the future. Thank you!

We had a great stay at Kayak Cove! Kristen's home is in a perfect location at the end of a cove on Lake Norman. We enjoyed paddle boarding, kayaking and going out in the canoe. Kristen was very responsive when we had trouble accessing the channel to watch the finals in college basketball. The home is well equipped in the kitchen and the basement was great for the kids (teenagers). Kristen kindly offered to pick up and put away groceries we ordered online so that everything was waiting for us at the house - a great service and it was wonderful not to have to run out to the grocery store soon after our arrival. She also provided a special birthday surprise of champaign and decorations (I was celebrating a milestone birthday at the lake with family). We also enjoyed watching the fish in the evening with the night fishing lights (although did not do any fishing). The paddle boat was not in working order but we were able to enjoy the other lake amenities. Overall we had a great trip!

Excellent location for privacy. Home was great with a large layout. Everything was easy and went as expected! We had a 24ft pontoon boat which was easily parked and super nice dock. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, secluded lake home! Everything inside was very clean. Kitchen was stocked above average for an Airbnb. Beds were comfortable and views were stunning. The house is very large with a really fun game room type basement and a more traditional living room/kitchen area on the main floor. The separation was nice because it allowed the husbands to have their fun on the poker and Ping-Pong tables while the wives relaxed on the main level and screened in porch. Despite being secluded, the house is located just a short drive from Publix and local area restaurants. Overall it was a great stay.

Our family had a great time. The kids did not stop playing in the pool, fishing off the dock and talking in the hot tub. The adults enjoyed the paddle boards, the kayaks, fishing and playing cards on the beautiful screened in porch at night. We had a great time. I HIGHLY recommend this place for a family retreat.

We had a comfortable stay over a holiday weekend with extended family. Definitely enough room for everyone to spread out and have quiet space. Two bedrooms on the main floor was convenient and necessary for our group, so that was nice. The kitchen is very well stocked and we easily cooked several big meals in it. Bathrooms were well stocked with plenty of towels and supplies. We did not use the pool as it was off season and not something we were interested in, but we did use the spa and it was fabulous. I would recommend this house for a family gathering!

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief, but fun-filled spring break at the lake! We’ve stayed at several lake houses on lake Norman over the past 15 years and Kayak Cove is way up at or near the top! Hosts were fantastic! House was immaculate! Everything we needed for 4 days of cooking meals and enjoying the water. Our teen anglers had a blast fishing in the lake off the dock and horsing around in the hot tub & pool.

Awesome AccommodationsGreatest family and friends vacation to date. Boat rental delivered right to the dock. Did lose electrical power a few times but made family time out it. Used the gas grill to cook and set up the camp fire. Left a day early due to the electrical power outage the second time. Great home and host!

I’m so glad you had an amazing time. All the rain caused a tree to take out neighborhood power the first time and Tropical Storm Debby finished off your vacation with knocking out power to thousands of people in the Carolinas. It wasn’t the best weather week unfortunately. Hopefully you’ll be back down here another time and enjoy round two with a friends and family.
