Tasting the 2013 Triomphe from Résolu Cellars! Just what I wanted. Dark color with lots of jammy notes. Smells and taste like it has some Cab Franc in it. The palate is equally pleasing! I am going to enjoy this with a hamburger tonite! Cheers!

Both wines are from Heron Hill Winery. 2015 Cabernet Franc and 2015 Riesling. Obviously I’m getting my daughter wine glasses while I’m here! The Cab Franc is spicy with some fight to it. The alcohol says 12.5%, but I think it may be higher. The Riesling I’m guessing is about 3-4% RS. True Riesling characteristics of Petroleum, but in a good way. A very nice semi-sweet!

Nice deep garnet color. A cinnamon and cardamom on the nose with a slight spicy chaser. A little jammy on the tip of the tongue. Slides smooth over mid palate and finishes with a kick of spiciness! Blizzard Wines

Carmenere is quickly becoming a favorite. Lots of juicy ripe cherries with thick slightly spicy nose. The palate is very satisfied with the thick coating of yumminess. Despite the thick juiciness, it finishes on a medium note. Maryhill Winery

My husband bought this for me because of my Cab Franc addiction! Plus the label is cool. The nose has a nice jamminess with a deep black cherry. The taste has a big fruit palate with a slight bell pepper. It is ever so slight but still makes me happy! Steiner Family Vineyards
