Try a bike ride on the Legacy Trail in Sarasota we did! Over 20 miles of bike trails running from downtown Sarasota to Venice, FL. Made from an old railroad route no longer in use. It’s free to access and you can rent bikes just south of the light at Stickney Point near the condo. I am told there are also some bike rental access on points on the trail. Fun to do if your in the area!

Tip: download the “moat marine” app on your phone to check out beach conditions on Siesta, Crescent, Lido, Anna Maria, and most all FL beaches nearby. It will show you conditions, currents, tides, red tide, etc. handy to have at hand during your vacation to any FL west coast visit!

We want to share with you some of our favorite places we find to eat or things to do while in town.

Just discovered a new favorite restaurant near downtown Sarasota “Owens Fish Camp”. Everyone loved their meals and drinks from fresh snapper to the fried chicken. It has a campy vibe with string lights, live outdoor music on the patio under the trees. Perfect night out on vacation!

Don’t worry about driving or parking on Siesta once you arrive! 🍹 🏖 🌊 The Siesta Key Breeze trolley stops right outside the Bay Oaks complex. Just look for the “Siesta Key Breeze” icon In The App Store and download so you always know where your ride is!
