B17 Villa update: still no permit for drywall (should be on/before 2/13)

*last Fridays CB update was that it would be 2-3 more weeks for everyone else’s permit & 5-6 weeks for white box “drywall etc”

Good morning! As of yesterday, Casablanca has a brand new board. I have resigned from the board as secretary and also the rental chair. I will have less information on the progress of individual units but will continue to update on my own unit, B17. If I see or hear something that I can update I will share, but progress on individual units will not be known. Every unit is owned individually & each person will have hired their own contractor. For updates on a specific unit that you have rented I would recommend emailing the office. The complex is undergoing changes regarding rental and management, so lots of good things coming. With that said, it takes time. If you wish to rent B-17 in the near future, please private message me for info on how to do that. Thank you for your support!

Updates...if you have rented our unit in March, I have officially notified the office to let them know that we will be ready and to please make notifications.

*fine print...I have several owner blocks in 2025. If you are wanting to stay in our unit, but couldn't secure a date, please reach out to me. I might be willing to give up a spot of time. :)

Two years ago we renovated the villa bathrooms to a GORGEOUS state! (see old pics and videos on this page). I'm excited to announce that the tile work is starting and they will be back to normal in no time. Super thankful for honest and reliable contractors!!! Stay tuned...

B17 has new electrical! Box checked. Plumbing repairs. Check. New HVAC. Check. Washer and dryer hookups. Check. Next up is drywall! I do believe this unit will be one of the first villas ready to go. It’s been sitting for a very long time, but I have a lot of things lined up. Stay tuned!!!

When we bought our place we considered “The Sandy Place” and with help chose the name, “Villa By the Sea.” Huge thanks to those that have stayed in our place, told their friends and family, and to those that have followed our journey and cheered us on. Keep following and keep cheering because this place will be better than ever!
