Hurricane Helene hit SK on September 26th, 2024. Hurricane Milton brought in more water. Within 48 hours of Helene, we had 3 foot of drywall removed. The floor and cabinets and doors were all removed and trashed. We have been diligently working to get Villa 17 back to status quo. Supplies are limited, contractors are limited and funds are limited. I think, in the end, that insurance will cover about 2/3 of our expenses. Today, January 13th, I. Happy to report tgat all drywall, mudding, texturing and painting is pretty much done. We have 3/4 of our floor down. A couple doors are up and we now have the end in sight. We still need door frames and molding. New kitchen counters arrive 1/21 (hopefully) and will be installed immediately. All new appliances and furniture has arrived and waiting for delivery. Click below for a little video. Here are some pictures as we start the demolition damages from Hurricane Helene. It is hard to understand what rooms are what, after they cut the bottom two feet of drywall out. You can see the water interior line in the second picture.

Hurricane Helene was fierce. Crescent Arms Villa #17 2bd / 2 ba Rental took on about 8 inches of water inside. The waterline in the outside was about 2.5 feet deep. We have already started demolition of drywall and cabinets. We hope to get things pulled back togerher quickly but we aren't sure how supplies will last. Wish us luck.
