In accordance with the City of Sarasota ordinance regarding face masks to help curb the spread of COVID 19, which took effect July 1, 2020, we have instituted the following guidelines. See actual ordinance here: https://www.sarasotafl.gov/Home/Components/News/News/1979/16?backlist=%2F #:~:text=Sarasota%2C%20FL%3A%20The%20City%20Commission,the%20spread%20of%20COVID%2D19.&text=The%20face%20mask%20requirement%20begins,in%20effect%20for%2060%20days.
☑️Face coverings will be required for all SJG adult visitors while indoors, except those who qualify for exemptions as stated in the ordinance. Children under 18 are specifically excluded and are encouraged to but will not be required to wear face coverings. Guests are encouraged to bring their own covering, but we will provide one to those who do not have one at no charge.
☑️As a 90% outdoor facility, with more than 10 acres of space to allow for social distancing, we are pleased to welcome guests this coming Labor Day weekend. However, in areas that are potentially more crowded (i.e. show areas), face coverings are strongly recommended even while outdoors.
☑️Effective immediately, all guests must purchase their admission tickets online via our website - www.sarasotajunglegardens.com so we can monitor and restrict park capacity at any one time.
☑️We ask that our guests stagger arrival and departure times so bottlenecking does not occur.
☑️All our food options will be grab and go style (sandwiches and salads, pizza, and other self-contained comfort/snack food). Dining will be outside only.
☑️All our employees will always wear face coverings, whether indoor or outdoor when closely interacting with guests.
☑️If anyone is sick, or believe they have been exposed to COVID 19, please do not visit SJG until you have been cleared by a medical professional. As always it remains a personal decision whether to visit any public area where exposure risks to any illness may exist.
As a member of our community, we are confident we will get through this and are pleased to offer fun, interactive, and outdoor activities to celebrate We know we all play a part and encourage personal responsibility for the public health benefit. We also sincerely appreciate the support.
