We are excited to have Iris DeMent performing tomoroow night here at the Fine Arts Center Theater. Her music is rooted in folk, country and gospel. Iris DeMent was inspired to write her first song, "Our Town," at age 25 by a drive through a boarded-up Midwest town. Reminiscent of the observation of life and current times, Iris' songs make statements and reflections on the personal and the political.
