We participated in our first Christmas parade last night in Helen, GA as the “hype crew” for the Hillcrest High School Band while they entertained the City of Helen and thousands of visitors to some great holiday tunes! What a special way to partner with Alpine Helen · White County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Mr. Ray and Mr. Scott from Hillcrest Middle School Wildcat Band, and Upstate parents!

While in Pigeon Forge for our annual staff Christmas weekend, we received a surprise visit and inspiring evening of stories and songs from Hannah Kerr and Jason Earley! Thank you for sharing your gifts to serve our team while reminding us that Christmas brings JOY through serving others!

Handlers needed for the 2024/25 school year! Do you or someone you know have a flexible schedule during the week to travel with our student groups? Do you love to serve others and enjoy experiencing new places and new things?

We are looking for some more awesome people who reflect our core values (Communicate with Excellence, Engage with Intentionality, Serve with Enthusiasm, and Adapt with Grace) to join our team. Interest meetings are being held regularly in Simpsonville, SC and Charlotte, NC, and applications are being accepted NOW for the Winter/Spring!

We’re at our first conference of the new school year in Myrtle Beach with SC school administrators, and our new game “Clinko” is a hit! Congrats to Cecil Bonner from Anderson County School District 5 for getting the highest score of the day with 23 out of a possible 25 points!

Partnering with school leaders often means that our Handlers both work hard and play hard - we are in the student travel business! We've enjoyed taking multiple middle and high school performing arts groups to perform at Festival Disney, collect some serious hardware, and play in the parks the past few weeks. We wanted to send a special shoutout to our Handlers for ensuring that both the students AND adult leaders are warming their vocal cords during these Disney trips!

The unique moments in DC are piling up this travel season!! One of our middle school groups had the privilege of meeting a 101 year old WW2 veteran who received the Congressional Gold Medal at the U.S. Capitol this week at the National Museum of the United States Army . "Bernie" Bluestein and his special unit has a fascinating story...

"For decades, their mission during World War II was a secret. With inflatable tanks, trucks and planes, combined with sound effects, radio trickery, costume uniforms and acting, the American military units that became known as the Ghost Army helped outwit the enemy. It’s fun to brag on our Handlers, and many of our new team members make it really easy to do just that! We’re receiving a record amount of 5* reviews on Google and many of our newcomers are playing significant roles in making this happen. Huge shout out to Liz (Elizabeth Phillips) and Hannah for representing our team and the 4th Grade from Anderson District One they served this past week in Charleston!

Seeing our Nation’s Capitol from the perspective of an Orange Sky Handler is unique and rewarding! Our Team is always looking for ways to serve our groups, no matter if it’s taking group pictures, strategizing with an irinerary, picking up trash, sorting room keys, or simply lending a hand (or an ear) to a new friend in need. This week we have over 1,000 travelers in DC and 20 OST Handlers! Thank you to Erin Jones for your work on the front end and for all of the “orange people” who are serving our groups well in DC and beyond this week! Thanks as well to Tim Scott for stopping and saying hello to one of our groups!

What a view! We enjoyed traveling with 100+ eighth graders, teachers, and parents this past week to NYC. Huge thanks to Edge NYC for hosting our group and allowing us to watch the sunset go down on this amazing city.

We’re excited to be at the annual North Carolina Music Educators Association conference this week in Winston Salem and meet with more North Carolina music educators. We have become known for our unique games, and often get puzzling looks from other vendors. Here’s our friend Shannon Davis with Carowinds having another smh moment with our Orange Sky team. It might look odd, but this game plays! Stop by if you’re at Benton Convention Center and try your luck…you could walk away with some cash!
