In 1950 the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission erected a marker for the Sinnemahoning Path. The inscription reads: “An Indian path ran up the valley of the Sinnemahoning Creek to Canoe Place, now Emporium Junction, and on to the Seneca villages at the Big Bend of the Allegheny. Early settlers in Clinton, McKean, Cameron, and Potter Counties used this path.” The marker is located along Route 120 about 1.5 miles north of Steam Mill Road, on the right when traveling south.

We get a lot of questions about the timing of the elk rut and a lot of questions about when is peak fall foliage in Cameron, Elk, and Forest Counties. The PA Game Commission created this graphic demonstrating both the peak of the elk rut and fall colors in the region.
